"June 3rd we celebrate the Feast of the Uganda Martyrs. Many people walk to Namugongo where the Uganda Martyrs were burnt and many travel from different countries. Even those within Kampala go the day before in order to be part of the celebration the following day. In October this Year, it will be 60 years since the Uganda Martyrs’ canonization. Janet Harbauer shares that in 1964, Mother Dengel attended the canonization of these Martyrs at St. Peters, accompanied by Sr. Paula D'Errico.
