Making Briquettes with Biochar

In her commitment to live more sustainably, Sister Immaculate Tusingwere, along with other Sisters living in Tororo, Uganda, make briquettes from biochar.  Biochar can be made from a variety of agricultural waste that would often be left to rot in the ground.  MMS are using banana peels and are planning to purchase a machine to make the briquettes where they will involve the local community.
