Creator God, classroom time is here again.
Please open my mind and my heart in a special way,
so I can understand what I’m being taught,
so I can really learn something new every day.

Help me not to be afraid to seek help
nor to be shy about asking “why.”
Give me courage to question when I do not “get it,”
not to be content just to “slide by.”

May what I learn help me to be a better person.
May my time in school help me to grow.
Thank you for the wonderful opportunity of education.
It’s still not a right experienced by many, I know.
