Prayer for the Sick

From the moment I wake until the second I sleep, Father, I am in pain. It can be a dull ache in one part of my body or a deep throbbing throughout. So often I am also weak, nauseated and totally out of sorts.

Please heal my suffering. Cure my sickness, so I can feel like myself again

Help me to be less nagging, less complaining, less demanding of those who are only trying to ease my pain.

If I am not to be truly healthy, grant me the gift of long-suffering.

Bless me with the grace to live in faith and in hope, being grateful for all that I do have and am.
