In Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Sisters Juanita Ortega, Maigualida Riera, and Therese Cheruvallathu are in mission in the “12th of October” barrio. Sister Maiguailida works full-time at Instituto Universitario Jesus Obrero, Sister Therese is studying Chinese medicine and has a clinic each morning, and Sister Juanita assists with many other needs in the barrio. Sister Juanita reports, “Medical care has been made available to everyone and is free. There are now four universities in Barquisimeto, and three have nursing schools. In our barrio there is a rehabilitation center which the people attend for free. There are also free eye clinics and glasses are provided at no charge, along with needed surgeries.” . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
