Sister Carol Reed, a native of Massachusetts, teaches English in grades 6 and 11 at the Cathedral School in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The classes have over 60 students. Sister Carol has created English conversation texts for grades 5 and 6. The materials she has made for grade 11 students stimulate their thinking and values discussions as their English skills are developing. Grade 11 students explore such topics as AIDS, promises, likes and dislikes, and their hopes and dreams. Sister Carol also teaches English to 28 first-year seminarians at the Major Seminary. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sister-Doctor Rosamma Puthusseril, together with other gynecologists of Immaculate Heart of Mary Hospital in Bharananganam, Kerala, South India, participated in the All India Conference of Obstetrics and Gynecology that was held in La Meridian in Cochin in January. They thought it was the best conference the group ever had. The doctors discussed common problems, and the solutions that work best for their patients. Our Sister-Doctors in India and other nations continue to take advantage of learning experiences, so they can give the best possible care.
