Our Alliance for Justice Office has signed the People's Statement on the Right to Water. This Statement calls on the United Nations to pass a binding convention on the right to water; encourages people to oppose the privatization of public water utilities; demands that governments recognize and defend people's right to sufficient, safe, affordable, and accessible water; and supports the growing global movement to defend our right to water. To read the statement and sign on, please visit www.righttowater.net.

Several of our Sisters have recently begun new ministries. In North East India, Sisters Laetitia Aerthayil and Cicily Nedungattu have begun a new mission among the Bodo tribe in Kajalgaon, Assam. They are presently conducting a needs assessment. In Germany, Sister Gertrud Dederichs has begun a new position as a hospital chaplain in a 180-bed hospital run by the Brothers of Mercy in Montabaur.
