Our Anna Dengel Center in Arequipa, Peru, recently celebrated the 11th anniversary of its Wawacuna Day Care program. This year, 115 children are in the Center. "It is a place where they live in a World of Children, where they have a happy learning experience, a healthy diet, and play among other children," explains Sister Marisol Martinez. The children and the parents feel that the initial preparation the youngsters receive here will give them an equal chance for a good education, so they will be able to compete with others. It is rare for those made poor to have this opportunity.

Sister Rosalia Medeira writes from Pune, India:
"My work with women is going on well. Now we have moved into 2 more villages conducting 'Integrated Development for Women' training programs with the help of our old students. About 30 students got their certificates in April, after special classes at our center. We will start our next group in July. … Last year, we had prepared our students to dance the Universe Story for different audiences. This year, our social worker trained the boys and girls to perform the same drama. On Children's Day our village children went to DeNobili (Jesuit College) to dance the Universe Story to about 2000 children. … A lady doctor helps us to run a weekly health clinic in 2 villages. With her help, we have been conducting many health awareness activities."
