Sister-Doctor Fernande Pelletier has been given a gold medal and a Lifetime Excellence Award by the Ghana Medical Association. In July, she was one of 5 doctors invited to a senior citizen luncheon with Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama and other dignitaries at the Accra Conference Center in Ghana. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . In India, Sister Floria Minj celebrated her final vows in her native village of Mattasi. People waited along the road, and welcomed Floria and the other Medical Mission Sisters with garlands and the beating of drums. Young and old alike danced as they processed from the road to Floria's home. It was a great experience of tribal culture, customs and the spirit of celebration. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
